'Desert Haze'

$1,410.00

One weekend in the school summer holidays I packed up the car and my kids (7 and 10) for a mini break to a farm on Phillip Island in Victoria. On the way all along the side of the road I saw these incredible wild flowers, with stunning white tops.

'Desert Haze' is an exploration of hot summer days and those wild flowers, combining with the calm of origami cranes in a desert oasis.

Each crane uses shades of coffee, burnt sienna and yellow, gradually shaded and overlayed with a white floral pattern to represent the folds of origami paper.

This piece represents warmth, calm and the beauty of the little details.

Original artwork

Acrylic on canvas
