'On the Lake' - Reproduction Print

from $120.00

This piece channels calm and stillness, using the suggestion of water to represent a misty lake at dawn. Small highlights are created by origami paper to add a reflection of sunlight on the cranes wings.

The origami crane (Tsuru) symbolises honor, good fortune, loyalty, and longevity. These formidable characterisctics give the crane such special meaning and why the Japanese believed that anyone with the patientce and commitment to fold 1,000 origami cranes would be given good fortune and granted a wish. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times.
